I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and LGBTQ persons dealing with a wide range of concerns. I have created pages on this site specifically for Individual, Couple, and LGBTQ therapy. Please feel free to view them to learn more about them.
The following are some examples:
- Depression and Anxiety
- Relationship Issues and Infidelity
- LGBTQ Concerns and Challenges
- Family Issues and Conflict
- Life Transitions
- Stress Management
- Grief and Loss
- Work and Career Issues
- Conflict Resolution
My approach to helping individuals, couples, and families is grounded in cultivating a safe and supportive atmosphere for healing to occur. I utilize a holistic (body mind spirit) approach that considers how various thoughts, feelings, needs, and behaviors influence self and others, and my background as a yoga teacher/educator for the past 20+ years helps to inform my practice. I work in collaboration with each client to assist them in creating the life they want.
I have a particular interest in helping couples create safe and secure relationships. I am certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which research shows is the most effective model of couple therapy.
I also have an interest in working with LGBTQ individuals, couples, and families, including difficulties regarding coming out, transitioning, relationships, HIV/AIDS, among others.
